Update - Nov 2022

When we began our work in Ukraine in March, we expected the war to end quickly. Now, over 8 months into the conflict, the end does not seem to be in sight. Even if the war were to end tomorrow, the amount of destruction and the number of broken lives is so big, that our work must continue for many, many months.

We are grateful for our partners on the ground, who are doing the most important work - helping people directly, not just with food & medicine, but with kind words and care, which are just as needed in this dark time. Below, we would like to highlight one such organization with whom we have partnered and who have been doing incredible work from the very beginning of the war.

“Light of Christ” Church

The “Light of Christ” church in Kam'yanets'-Podil's'kyi has been doing amazing work. The funds that Grace Tea sends are used to purchase food staples and are organized into care packages at the church. Then, the goods are loaded into vans, and brave volunteers drive into hot zones close to the war front, to distribute the necessities to people in need. These trips are extremely dangerous, but also very needed, as few humanitarian organizations are able to reach people deep in the conflict zones. Below are just a few images out of hundreds that we receive regularly.

Our Focus Right Now

We are continuing to work with several partners on the ground who are reaching people in the most desperate corners of Ukraine, including in Russian-occupied areas. Although the donations have slowed down dramatically, thanks to a grant from One Day’s Wages, we are able to continue to send funds to our partners on a regular basis. As before, every dollar donated is sent directly to our partners, who use it to purchase basic foods & medicines, to distribute to the local population in need.
